On the contrary, this handy carryall is cool, laid back and effortlessly chic. From its spacious shape to its stunning color (this turquoise thing is never going to get old, is it?), it’s perfect all around. In four colors. Available for $478 at Nordstrom.

Nothing about this tote is what you might expect from a luxury handbag. It isn't leather and that isn't real animal-print but Marc Jacobs still succeeds in creating a dynamite piece of arm candy using PVC and a cream and black stamped calf-hair effect. The Franny Animal-Print PVC Tote also features a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap along with a pair of handles at the top, gold-tone hardware, magnetic fastening, three interior pockets and his signature monochrome twill lining for just $330. Marc Jacobs - Leather - Handbag - Accessories - Clothing

Ready for fall yet? Me either, but that doesn’t mean I’m not keeping an eye on the upcoming months’ hottest looks. While I’m not one for brazen sequins that outshine the rest of my outfit, I have to give credit to Marc Jacobs for his Tweed Single Sequin Crossbody Bag. A touch of the sparkly stuff lends the street-smart style just enough glamour to elevate its potential. Crossbody styles are so everyday-appropriate that they can be worn nearly anywhere, and while you won’t wear this with, say, cargo pants and a wifebeater (I hope not, at least), you could pull it off with sleek trousers and a slinky blouse and look like a mil – for just $995. Available at Nordstrom.

One of the hottest trends this past spring was visible zipper details, spotted on everything from dresses to handbags. It appears the trend is waning a teeny bit, but in small doses still looks pretty cool without overwhelming the outfit. In this case, the Alexis Hudson Sybil does a great job of it, showing off diagonal zippers against your choice of mocha, red or turquoise microfiber. Sure, it lacks the outward glamour (and extreme size) of the somewhat similar Marc Jacobs Flash Leola, but you’re paying a heck of a lot less for a design that makes use of the same zipper elements.
