Oscar fashion for 2010 was definitely a celebration of spring! Bright colors and pastels were in full bloom on the red carpet. Full trains and sculpted ruffles framed many a toned actress on their walk to the Kodak Theater. The big awards for best style go to the designers (and design team!) that made these ladies look gorgeous.

The direction of handbags were overwhelmingly in favor of the coordinated clutch. Many were structured, hard case clutches, or slim and oblong. Jewelled bags or jewelled accents were also a dominant feature on this favorite accessory.

First time nominee Anna Kendrick wore a gorgeously draped pink Elie Saab gown. Her jewelled Judith Leiber clutch had pale pink stone accents in a pattern of crystals that elevated her entire ensemble.

Elizabeth Banks wore a sweeping grey gown by Atelier Versace. The dark grey snakeskin and silver crystal clutch was from Salvatore Ferragamo.

Demi Moore, in a tonal, peach organza gown wrapped in ruffles. This diva continues to prove she still rules the red carpet in Atelier Versace. Her Salvatore Ferragamo clutch is a gold leather envelope with jewelled closure.

Kate Winslet is every bit the shimmering star in her Yves Saint-Laurent gown. The matching clutch in silver satin is also Yves Saint-Laurent.
